Adobe Capture: Illustrator, Ps App Reviews

Im a graphic designer nearing the end of my college career and I have been following the updates of the Adobe Mobile apps. I like trying out apps so I download a lot of them. Adobe Capture, if you dont know, is a combination of 3 apps. I no longer have to open 3 separate apps! This is a very powerful app and Im confident is going to influence change in the world of design.

Awesome and very useful

Very frustrating that I have to sign in every time I open this app. If you dont know your PW, youre out of luck. Developing can take a very long time. Too long to take another picture. Youll have to just take pictures and then go back to use app. Nice effects but still too slow make this worthwhile to use on the fly.

This app is wonderful! However, the only thing that needs adjustment is the capture shapes. It would be great if the user could adjust how much curve is being used.

When creating a color palette from a photo, it would be great to have the app automatically generate a hex code for each color.

Tried to sign up (why do I even need to if I don’t care about saving data to the cloud?) and every time I tried, it timed out and kept showing the stupid video again. UGH. Forget it, adobe. Too many other helpful apps out there to mess w/your annoying app.

Im loving the shape feature so much I want to use it to create a comic book.

I love capturing color schemes and creating vector images with this. Also logging into my laptop and desktop and everything being there. Its so convenient and fast

Kuler was great, because I was able to eye drop a color and have the presets of the color wheel to quickly create a color pallets that was analogous, complimentary, triad, split complimentary etc. This doesn’t have that. The Color Guide tool that is within other Adobe applications that I love so much should be in here to help create color palettes since this seems to be the replacement of Kuler. Adobe help me, I often play on my phone and try to make color pallets. Please add more functionality to the color section.

Cant stop converting images! Fun and useful.

This app is amazing. It helps me quickly capture inspirational moments so I can easily refer back.

Looking forward to its evolution.

Its a great app overall. It has the possibility of making certain tasks easier, however the smoothing of the curves always messes up my vectors. They look great prior to that step but once the curves get smoothed, my vector does not come out looking the same. Personally, I feel like we should be to turn this function on and off.

Just perfect

Only had the app for less than half a day, so this might be too soon to review, but I think its great. Ive been searching for a good color picking app, and this is definitely it. Themes get saved to Creative Cloud, and uploaded to Adobe Color with ease. Havent delved into the shape, brush, or looks features yet, so an updated review might occur after further use. The whole app has a nice layout thats easy to navigate.

The apps from adobe allow you to be creative on the go, but make you purchase illustrator/photoshop as all of these apps export most easily to those formats. Great apps.. I use them everyday. Not sure how I feel about adobes new subscription setup.. But Im enjoying it so far!
